Nashville Wood Deck Build Project

We recently completed a full replacement of the back porch on a home in Nashville. The original deck was severely deteriorated and no longer safe or usable, so we started fresh from the ground up. The old metal support pillars had rusted through over the years, so we replaced them with sturdy 6x6 pressure-treated lumber posts to ensure long-term stability and durability. We also redesigned the stairs, extending them to create a wider and more comfortable step. New railings were installed to complete the look and provide added safety. Since the deck is built with pressure-treated wood, it will need several months to fully dry before it is ready to be stained, typically about six months on average. Once the wood has had time to cure, it can be sealed or stained to bring out its natural color and protect it from the elements.
